About me
Thank you for visiting my site! I am Victoria MacLellan, Certified Health Coach and founder of Project Nourish. I studied nutrition and holistic health at the world's largest nutrition school known as the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. After years of nagging digestive issues and a growing interest in health and wellness I made the decision to enrol at IIN to educate myself and make lifelong changes. I discovered that there was a direct connection between the food I was eating, my lifestyle, and the way my body felt.
One of the most important avenues for a better life is through nutrition. Having a healthy diet goes far beyond a desire to be 'slim'; when you are feeding your body right this reflects positively into all other areas of your life. There are many conflicting diets and theories and I had the chance to study nearly them all. While in school I experimented personally with Paleo, Vegan, Vegetarian, Raw, Pescatarian and everything in between. What I found was that there wasn't one exact theory that worked best for me. After a lot of trial and error, I identified where my intolerances lay that were causing me problems and found what worked for me. Gone are the horrible stomach aches, poor digestion, lack of energy and other food related discomforts that I had experienced over the years.

In addition to nutrition, I discovered there are many aspects to our lives that play an important role in our health. When we look at health and wellness as a 'whole' we are able to consider not only diet, but also how our lifestyle, levels of exercise, relationships, environment and mental wellbeing affect our quality of life. Learning about the bio-individuality of nutrition, the importance of increasing functional and enjoyable movement, how to set and achieve goals, along with techniques to gain perspective and find balance were all part of my Health Coach training. I was able to improve my health with the right diet and lifestyle changes and I believe I can help you do the same for yourself.

My Training
I received my training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition within their cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program. During this time I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle management and innovative coaching methods with some of the world's top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I will help you create a completely personalised 'roadmap to health' that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences and goals. I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.
